Skydiving
“If I could stand in an open airplane doorway two-and-a-half miles above
the ground and will myself to step into empty space, then I could do anything.”
— DAVE STEIN, How Winners Sell
On Sunday, June 15, 2003, I made my first Tandem
Freefall jump at
Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida.
From 13,500 feet, wearing a harness connected to a Tandem Master,
I jumped and accelerated to 120MPH to freefall for about 60
seconds. At 5,000 feet, we opened the rainbow-colored
parachute for a relaxing 5 minute ride to the dropzone. While steering, I made several
tight turns that spun us in circles to quickly drop altitude. It was an awesome
experience. I proved to myself that I could do anything. The sky's the limit!
